who doesn't love the yellowed, rough paper and the way zip-a-tone looks on it? this is an old sketchbook joke recycled solely for that purpose.

andreas: tones in manga studio, the cheap one, then some difference clouds+noise in PS to break up the black, then a scan of yellowed paper (found via google) over everything, set on multiply. quite simple, actually!
