these come out in a biweekly free magazine "gradski puls", reduced to a microscopic size on page 5. you should be able to pick the magazine in random places in zagreb (i ran into them at a few places). this one's number four, and should be in distribution in a couple of days.

here is no why

did around 50 of these today. or rather, did these 5, and 45 really ugly ones. spent most of the day on them, thinking all the time i was late- turns out it wasn't the usual "crack of dawn" deadline, but rather, the "sometime along the day" one. now my hand hurts because i was working at an impossible angle for twelve hours.

someone did photos of some of our nude drawings here at school, so here's a quick one. hahahah.

write stuff

while i was writing a new story, i found the storyboards for an old one i completely forgot. usually i'll first write and then do storyboards, but in some cases, like this one, i'll do storyboards and maybe write on the margins. this is a somewhat easier (visual) way to write, but it produces longer, movie-like comics. so this story was basically a 10-page gag, bugs bunny style. and that's no good, and probably the reason why i didn't draw it.

feaster

more cover sketches, done during bob's birthday party, here in the studio. we didn't have a camera, but i sketched one of the merrier moments (pardon the crude drawing):

now everybody went home and it's 4:30am, so i'm off to bed. head explode!

needle gun

bob's birthday is tomorrow, so i quickly made him a card. made a terrible mess out of it while cutting it out with a scalpel (the shield letters float in air, etc.), since the watercolors seem to smudge horribly. beuh. generally, writing (6 pages done), having a gigantic headache, drinking way too much coffee (one, actually, but a tough one, obviously) and reading a fat stanley kubrick biography.

seemed like a good idea to ink most of this with a pen, freehand... ugh. should be hanged for the horrible perspective as well. oh well. next time! anyway- thought it'd be a different experience like this, on the screen (the actual panel is... 7x22.5cm)

... everyone's favorite line to hear. this is a four (five? three?) years old unfinished commission. i couldn't care less about this kind of stuff nowadays.

i don't post enough random drawings. here i tried using a marker instead of a pencil. turned out ok, probably because i've been drawing every day and i'm "in shape". re: work, still have a cover to do, but i'll have to write something too, so i can keep on drawing. right now i'm in the "anything can be done" mode, it's a shame not to use it. anyhow, markers + brush on the next thing, definitely. mhm.
